Description
Horses have to contend with numerous external parasites on a daily basis, and it’s important to repel them using icaridin, which has a repellent effect on the parasites’ olfactory system, while masking the host, and eucalyptus citriodora extract, a remote repellent. FRANCODEX’S ICARIDIN INSECT REPELLENT repels flying insects (flies, louse flies, horse flies, mosquitoes, etc.) and ticks, and prevents them from landing on the horse.
Composition
• Sec-butyl 2-(2-hydroxyethyl)piperidine-1-carboxylate/Icaridin (CAS No. 119515-38-7) 5% m/m, hydrated, cyclised eucalyptus citriodora oil (CAS No. 1245629-80-4) 0.5% m/m.
Manual
• Spray on a dry coat, avoiding the eye area. Apply once a day or before work, a ride, etc. The recommended dosage is 30 g per m2, equivalent to about 5 sprays per 10 kg of body weight.
Precautions of use
• FOR EXTERNAL USE. Product is for animal use only. Do not use on foals less than 4 months old. Do not use in pregnant or lactating animals. Do not swallow. Do not administer by mouth. Keep out of reach of children. Do not spray on mucous membranes. Do not apply to damaged skin. This product is not a medicine. In the event of infestation, consult a vet. Protection against bites and stings has not been demonstrated. This product is not intended for use on animals that are already infected. Remove any ticks attached to the horse. Environmental (wind, temperature, humidity) or individual factors (coat length and density, perspiration) can affect the product’s effectiveness.
