Seachem Matrix™ – High-Capacity Biofiltration Media
Matrix™ is a high-porosity biomedia designed to provide efficient biological filtration for freshwater and marine aquaria. Its porous inorganic structure delivers enormous surface area, supporting both aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, which removes ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate simultaneously. Unlike traditional plastic biomedia, Matrix™ offers internal macropores as well as external surface, giving bacteria optimal space to thrive.
