Seachem de❊nitrate™ is a highly porous, natural biological media designed to remove nitrates, nitrites, ammonia, and organic waste from both freshwater and marine aquaria. Its pore size and structure are optimized to support both aerobic nitrifying bacteria on the surface and anaerobic denitrifying bacteria in the core, allowing efficient nitrate reduction without the production of toxic hydrogen sulfide.
How It Works:
